Let's Talk: Life Happens, 4/4/23

  • Rogers Free Library 525 Hope Street Bristol, RI, 02809 United States (map)

Let’s Talk – Life Happens

The books Being Mortal by Atul Gawande and The Unexpected Journey of Caring by Donna Thomson and Zachary White will be the structure for a discussion on life’s challenges. Caring for a loved one can require “grace and grit”, conversations, and sometimes a little preparation for the journey.

PRESENTERS: Bonnie Evans – nurse practitioner, end-of-life doula, and caregiver advocate

Current and future caregivers in our community are invited to join us at Rogers Free Library for a series of 6 programs sponsored by the Friends of the Library. These educational presentations will be offered in person & online via zoom and include:

  • practical advice to navigate or plan for the territory of caregiving

  • an opportunity to connect with other caregivers in the community

  • discussions about books & relevant resources

FORMAT: Presentations will be followed by light refreshments and time to continue the conversation with attendees.

REGISTRATION: Not required. For questions & information call (401) 253-6948 or go to rogersfreelibrary.org. Attend 1 or all 6 & bring a friend!

There are only four kinds of people in the world. Those who have been caregivers. Those who are currently caregivers. Those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.
